~ UPDATE ON BRANDON BRADLEY #217 - SS OF SHUCKHART & FUTRELL ~

BRANDON BRADLEY #217, BILLY URSIC #273 & BROC HEPLER #54 - STEEL CITY 2002 ~

Good Evening, Good News

Brandon's brace is off smile Brandon saw his doctor today and everything looks really good. He was scoped and so far no scar tissue. He will have to go back in 6 weeks and have it rechecked. He has no restrictions ( except no sports, but Brandon never did sports anyway)

Butch took him to HealthSouth after his doctors appt. to see everybody there. They were so happy to finally hear him talk, Brandon's doctor at HealthSouth, Dr. Biundo, was so happy he was dancing in the front entrance. smile Dr. Biundo kept telling us that once Brandon was able to talk again his mental recovery would come so much quicker, and I think he has improved since he's been able to hear himself speak.

So we're almost to the top of our mountain, in 8 to 12 months the doctors will try to put the bone flap back in Brandons head, their not going to try now because they want his airway to heal.
I see a much happier person in my son, he's able to actually talk to his friends on the phone, in fact today he talked to his boss Chuck for about 1/2 hour , and laugh, oh how I missed his laugh. I told him the next thing he has to do ( when he heals some more ) is sing to me. Before Brandons accident, whenever he would call me on the telephone, and the machine would pick up he always sang me my message. I never erased those messages. I don't know why I did that, but I'm glad I did.

I just want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart for keeping Brandon in your prayers, these last 17 months have been made easier knowing that so many people have cared and loved my son so much.

More Later
Love and Peace
