~ HIGH POINT VET NATIONAL & PAMX STATES RND 5 ~

What a totally wonderful/awesome weekend at High Point. To have Vet Nationals on Saturday and follow on Sunday with the PAMX Team Green State Championships. Well if you were not there you missed out on two great weather days along with great racing on a well taken care track. Did I mention the wonderful people, well they were there as well. This race weekend for me was very emotional. Yes it was somewhat a normal two race days. But this one was the last that we will be at "The Point" for this year. I didn't want to leave, I held on as long as I could with the 2nd moto of the Open B class. Thank you Racer Productions for these two days and all of the other events that we all shared together this past racing season. Okay a few tears were shed but Kris told me not to feel so bad, I could go back and take pictures on a snowy day this coming winter. Well maybe.
Great Vet racing on Sunday, lots of YAHOO'S coming from the riders as they moved around the track. Some great vintage bikes did a great job getting their rider from the gates to the checkers. Some blue smoke but it was well received. Sunday morning the riders filed in and a great busy day quickly went by. Great match ups with Shuckhart's, Spangler, Toth, Mauk, Evans, Yezek, just to name a few. We did have a few injuries and are waiting to hear how Josh Liston is. Josh was having a great 2nd 2 Stroke moto and was in 2nd or 3rd, when his chain broke and sent him into the track. Josh was taken to the Hospital for precaution to have him checked out. Josh was able to tell his bike number and the class that he was in but was still not complete. Hope that all is well Josh, best wishes to you for a complete recovery.
