~ GRANDMA HOLT ~
So sorry to hear of the passing of Roy Holt's grandma. What a wonerful lady. Didn't miss too many of Roys races. Always there to cheer him on. She will be so greatly missed. We were all blessed with her at so many races.
Okay it's been a long day and I have a few pictures to put up of the day. A good day with great racing, sun, humidity Pa style and some faces back racing after injuries. Ashley Woskob, Chad Boyd and Mitchell Ovell, welcome back you all have been missed. Also on the way home Kristin was text from Alex Rick that Vinny Luhovey had been injured. We will post more when information is received. Take care Vinney and family.
MONDAY MORNING... Sleep always helps the thinking process, how long it will last this morning is yet to be seen. Anyway a few more thoughts on yesterdays race. Not in any particular order. Yeah...... they gave the A & B riders their own moto's. AWESOME! Both A classes had very respectable numbers 250A 13/Open A 19. The B Class with Open B 23/250B 23. For me it's not the number that is in each class. I think that the A Class should have their own moto whether they have 4 or 14 in its class. Never the less it was great... thank you Mapleshade. Also Jerry was telling me that Mr. Phillips made a very remarkable thought about this group of A riders. Seven of these A riders have qualified for a National. WOW totally AWESOME!!!! YES WE HAVE TALENT HERE! Next thought is, what is up with the tires around the track for turn edgings? Many riders went down or got pretty wacked up hitting or just clipping those tires. I thought those were out years ago. Time to go to banners or those little yellow flexable spikes... Hats off to Jimmy Knisley, what a day that he had. Jimmy had trouble with his shoulder going in and out. A trip to the EMT's and some ice and a sling was applied. Dad was ready to take him home but Jimmy wanted to give it some time and stick around. Jimmy finished his moto's with some pain but in his 250B 2nd moto was right up in the #1 position. AWESOME JIMMY! Speaking of moto's they got off with an early start. Wow, I haven't been to any of our tracks with the 1st moto at 10:00. So we missed taking pictures of the first 250 A moto, but thats great to get a early start for the first rounds of the 23 moto's took us up close to 3:00. With the 4.5 hour trip home we left after the 2nd Open B moto 10, which got us in around 10:00. Long day for all but good to see everybody. The riders with injuries that I know of are, Vinny Luhovey, Rick Liscio (hurt in practice Sat) Broc Streit took a flying tumbel to the ground but finished up the day with some soreness. I hope that they are all doing better today. (if anyone knows of Vinny's injuries please e-mail me) Lantzermx98@windstream.net As for pictures Kris and I will be working on yesterdays as well as my overwhelming racing pictures of our riders at Loretta Lynn's that need to be seen. (Kris came down with a cold yesterday and not feeling well, so it may be a hard week for her) Have a great week everybody, Always In Memory of Aaron # 98, Arlene. PS... saw lots of #98 stickers yesterday, thank you for your rememberance. If you need a sticker we generally always have them on us...
Arlene,

I took a little break today from the Mapleshade pictures. I have been wanting to get some racing pictures up of Loretta Lynn's and our riders. I had put together the 3rd moto of the 4 Stroke class last week, but never got it up. It was a great race with Shane Durham and Broc Streit in it. Shane battled out the complete 20 minutes with the top riders of that class. Malcom Stewart #87, Heath Harrison #42, Dalton Carlson #97 and Drew Yenerich #70 all finished right up there. Shane had a great match up going with Yenerich. Some great turns Shane took putting Yenerich in his place. Great racing Shane, I still get excited about it when I think of it. This gallery has 101 pictures of Shane and Broc, I started out with 230 BUT had to narrow it down some.. HAHA What great talent our riders have.
