~ Field of Dreams States Rnd 2 ~
Great day of racing at FOD... The match ups started at the gate and went right to the checkers. The MX A Class here has Jason Marks, Broc Streit and Sammy Holland coming out of the tunnel and into the triple that lays ahead.
Some of the classes were down in size but not in talent. Returning D5 riders from Loretta Lynn's, Niebel, Slusser, Crowe and Barnhart were all sporting some pretty big smiles. All of these riders were top in their classes. Other riders ready to meet the challenges were Onisko, Holland, Boyd, Streit (Broc, good to have you back from injuries) Lehman, Odell, Kantner, Cosner. Horvath, Bunting and a host of great riders.
All in all it was a good day of racing. Days like this go so fast with so much going on. I would like to thank Lorrie Miller in nursing my shoulder with a bandage to keep the dust out and then later in the day The Odell's refreshed it with new gauze and wrapping that finished up the day. Thank you so very much for your kindness. The shoulder looks pretty good for the first big day out. As for me I had to take a nap today around 11:00... HAHA
I would also like to make mention of a good friend from our racing past and a big part of Aaron's beginnings in MX. Alan Bonamo was back yesterday with his son Chase were Alan ran in the +25 class. He has been gone for the past serveral years with work and being a Daddy. Alan was one of the A Riders that Aaron loved to watch. Became friends at the track and also at Aaron's practice track. Alan would come and ride and Aaron would learn from watching. Good memories and I know that Aaron is smiling knowing that Alan is riding again. WELCOME BACK ALAN!
