Many familes and riders have been preparing for this years Loretta Lynn's and some as soon as the last race went off at last years event. Qualifiers are in the spring which lead to regionals all across the country. So many pursue the trip to Loretta's but only 40-44 riders make it there in their particular classes. The slide show that follows is from last years event. Just a quick glimpse of what all sees as they arrive at the ranch. August 1 thru 6 - outstanding racing. Many riders are starting there this week and many have been in the area just to get use to the heat and humidity. Have safe trips everyone and the best of racing.
Beautiful day at PVR. DRY & HOT. The additions that Jeff has added to the track make for some fast areas and great air shots. No rain but a good unexpected soaking from "Zack" in the water truck helped to cool me down. Good to see Jonathan Wells back racing looking good as always. He and Deneen can really do some great whips. Speaking of Joey Deneen he took a pretty nasty fall and took a trip to the Hospital. Nothing broken, skin is mighty red and pain pills are helping him thru. (get that video camera out Britany) Get well soon Joey. Great racing in the A Class with Slusser, Hoge and Ritter going at it, with Newcome pressing on their heels. In the C Classes, Miller and Chronister had one of the days best racing between them. There were many other great match ups thru out the day. But time to get some pictures up. Joey Deneen - get well soon!
