1ST RND FLY RACING PAMX PA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - PVR- JULY 25, 2010

THE RUMBLE OF THUNDER THEN THE SHEETS OF RAIN CAME

~ TOBY BALDAUF #989 - +25/VETA BADLY INJURED ~
Last night while at practice Toby took a very bad spill that sent him by Life-Flight to Altoona and then on to Hershey for surgery. Neck and spine injury. Toby was said to be able to move his fingers before surgery. The surgery went well as he came out of it after 3:00 PM. Lorie Miller Replogle will be updating me as information is released. Please keep Toby and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE - 10:31 PM, FRIDAY 30
Update on Toby - from Lorrie Miller Replogle - ...Surgery went well he has feeling in all extremities!! They took him for an xray on a strecher after the 4 hr surgery and stood the strecher up to see if what they did made his neck stable. I will keep you posted as we get news from his Aunt. Prayers are still in much need!

Also Toby's Aunt adds this information: She said Toby was a completley different person after surgery so that is great to hear! They are praying no other surgeries will be needed.

They will be sending an address soon so that you can send cards to help Toby in his recovery.
Toby's home address: Toby Baldauf 739 Baldauf Rd Tyrone, PA 16686
PLEASE SEND ALL CARDS TO TOBY'S HOME ADDRESS!

Thank you Lorrie with these updates... We all will keep Toby and his family in our prayers.

~ PLEASURE VALLEY PAMX 1ST RND - 7/25/10 ~
What an exciting 1st State Championship event. The day started out with a good cloud cover. A much needed change from the heat and humidity of the past week. Moto's got off to a quick start with great match ups in the top 10 moto's. But along with those clouds came the darkness and the lightning and thunder. Rain, rain, sheets of rain came down with most of it headed for the track. EZ-Ups had difficulty in holding the rain off the occupants under them. I took shelter in sign ups waiting for it all to stop. Jeff took a look at the radar and we were right in the center of a very bright yellow and orange dot. Amazing amount of water all around. After evaluating the track and some dozer work a one moto format was put in place. The Vet A&B classes took the track as though nothing had changed.... but it had.
What a wonderful group of riders we have. They just went out and did what they always do. RIDE!
Picture taking became difficult and a zip-lock bag helped keep the camera dry. The darkness didn't help much either, but did come up with some pictures to view. I will start them out on the dry side of the day.

Picture taking was not at it's best on Sunday. Dark skies and of course moisture. I'm not very pleased with most of the pictures. BUT you will get a feel of the day and the great competition in the classes. Water, mud and more mud didn't keep the riders from doing their very best. So I apologize for the blurr and if I have someone named incorrectly, and you riders are awesome! I will be putting different classes together in galleries. Kristin and I will get up as much as we can... Should finish the classes. We are also working on the Loretta Lynn's group of riders, which from last count is around 30. Fantastic! Lots to do this week.

~ RND 1 - JULY 25 - PLEASURE VALLEY RACEWAY ~

~ SLIDE SHOWS OF STATES 2009 ~

~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEY DENEEN - JULY 23 ~

(sorry Joey, Kristin is not here to do one of her special photo's,( a new one) so I will have to do... for now)

~ PAMX STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS, 1ST RND. @ PVR - JULY 25, 2010 ~
Yes it's just the last few weeks of July and here we are talking State Champions. So early, yes it is. Last year our first States race was the Sunday that fell right after a very long week at Loretta Lynn's. Many of the riders hurried back but it was a struggle for sure. So our first race will be one week before Loretta's this year. Helps with the rush to get home but scares me for the riders that are headed for their participation at Loretta's. From my last count of PAMX riders going to Loretta's there are over 30. WOW! Thats incredible. We have so many talented riders, from the 50's classes right thru our Vet Riders. Good Luck to all of them.
I put together a couple of slide shows of last years State races. High Point, Pleasure Valley, Maple Shade, R & D and Steel City. A very exciting series and I'm sure that this year will be no less.

Our first States Race is this coming weekend at PVR. Practice on Saturday and racing on Sunday. IF you haven't been at PVR lately it would be good to get there on Saturday and get acquainted again with the changes that Jeff and his crew have made to the track. Exciting, yes! As always we have the best of the best racing in the PAMX. Hope to see you there.

~ RAY NIEBEL'S MUD BABIES ~
Yes the Mud Babies are still hanging in there. They have been tru Holloween, rain and the major snow of last winter. So far this summer they have been baking in the sun and enjoying the front porch. Over a week ago a stray small black kitten came into our lives and has moved in on our front porch. He has taken to the Mud Babies.

~ MONDAY, JULY 12 ~
This is not something I like to post at anytime, a rider going down. Daniel Lippman at OIR yesterday received injuries. I haven't had any full reports from the family, but on facebook last night it was a very busy topic. The information there was Daniel received a broken leg and injured his shoulder. I can't even comprehend how that fantastic rider is feeling today. He is so dynamic in his style and his abilities. Loretta Lynn's right on his door step..... so many thoughts. Daniel, get well soon, I can't even express enough how much I am going to miss you.

~ UPDATE ON DANIEL - THURSDAY 15, PM ~

Arlene, Daniel's update is, they are doing surgery on Friday to repair the leg , a plate and 6 to 8 screws , couple days in hospital , 5 or 6 weeks in cast and 2 weeks physical therapy, does not look like any joint or ligament damage. The shoulder should be fine in 2 or 3 weeks , we appreciate every ones thoughts and concerns

Daniel.... may your surgery be all that is needed to get you back to a full recovery. Also I have seen that Kirk Hines will be having surgery on his elbow Friday as well. Best of things to you as well Kirk.

Want to send some get well greetings.... here's the address: Help cheer Daniel UP!

Daniel Lippman
1076 Soap Run Rd.
Fombell, Pa. 16123

~ UPDATE ON DANIEL - TUESDAY 13, PM ~
Arlene , this is Jeff , Daniels father, On Sunday Daniel unfortunately dislocated his left shoulder and broke his left tibula just below the knee , they set the shoulder back in on Sunday night at Akron childrens hospital and we are seeing an orthopedic doctor tomorrow morning for the leg , I'll keep you informed , thank you for your concern, daniel is feeling ok but very depressed.

GET WELL SOON DANIEL!

Fireworks, heat and humidity and great racing from our talented PAMX riders.
I know that many may be thinking that I have become a broken record. But again what awesome talented group of riders we have here in the PAMX. The racing was as intense as it has been all season long. Slusser, Lippman, Clites, Mauk, Michaels, Liston, Arlet, Levic, Deneen, Passieu, Hess, Newcome, BAchman, Andersons, Sauers and McCauley have been going at it since early spring. They are some of the top riders in their classes. They didn't slow down at all today. Lippman had his hands full with Clites in the 250B class and Mauk in the Open B Class. WOW what fantastic racing.
Here are just afew pictures of just Sunday's racing. Lots to work on this week, SUndays racing and Saturdays practice. Good stuff!

Full weekend at the Point. Oh how I love that place. We arrived around 6:30 Friday evening and again it was totally beautiful. The track had just been sculptured by the best track groomers around. It layed in perfect condition waiting for the bike and riders, silence, sweet smell of moist dirt...... so beautiful!

Time for sleep..... and rest this weary back!
