~ MOTHER NATURE RAIN/MUD ~
Yes, rain made a visit to PVR and Sundays race was one of a shorter track and a one moto format. All ages took their turn at the track. As for pictures well, if you were not in front it was hard to identify the rider. So tried to get mostly starts and random pictures of the riders.

HIGH POINT - Where the wind briskly blows, the red tail hawks sore in the sky and then there are the dirt bikes. Loretta Lynn Qualifier was held on Saturday & Sunday along with the PAMX Spring series on Sunday. Practice was on Friday and a good number of riders where there to get ready for the qualifier and others just to come and ride at High Point. The track had some moisture from a few hard down pours on Thursday and practice was delayed. After a few hours of sun and wind the riders got to take to the track in the afternoon. Practice is still a very important time for the riders and crew but it still has a different pressure level - for me more laid back and very few practice shots taken. Well that generally goes well on a normal practice day but heard that Darryn Durham was there and riding. We had showed up later in the afternoon and we missed a couple of his practices but did get to see a little. Never the less did get to stop by his pits for a quick visit. Darryn is very excited about the up and coming outdoor season. Feeling strong and confident. I know that the Lantzer's will be cheering him on at each event. Time changes many things but I still can see the young boy that rode with Brian Shuckhart and made each and every moto one not to miss. Always a welcoming smile on his face and I am sure at times with all of the pressure he is under a perfect gentleman. Have a great season riding Darryn!!
Saturday morning came with many riders our for the Youth day for the LLQ. Lots of young ones flying around the track as well as the bigger bikes. Had some great action in the A Class with Alexander Frye, Jared Lesher, Dylan Slusser, Alex Odell, Dylan Walker, Broc Streit, Nick Fratz Orr and many more going at it - a gate of 25 very talented riders. Sure gets this photographer dizzy and the heart rate up by the end of the moto.
Being at High Point this weekend was a special time for Jerry and I. Not only being at our favorite track with the Holberts, Coombs families and the wonderful people that put it all together. Saturday was a day to be at a place that Aaron loved. The track is close to home and a wonderful place to ride. Saturday would have been Aaron's birthday - he would have been 35. We had many of Aaron's birthdays out at High Point over the years. Had the Grandparents out there a couple of times to watch Aaron ride and also eat some great Birthday cake. (heart attack time for Grandma, but she loved it) Good times for sure. Made a few trips to Ruby Hospital with Aaron from there, but nothing life changing and again memories that we talk about because they are of him. All I have to do is close my eyes as I sit anywhere around the track and he is there with me. Love the sounds of the 2 strokes and the memory of Aaron.
Okay time for pictures - please stop by my Facebook page and the links that I put up - I am able to get pictures up faster on there than my Aaron's site. (I need to upgrade Aaron's page to make it faster) Pictures tell a lot but I have to say here that standing down behind the opposite side of the gates below the up hill triple and the A riders are blasting down the hill before the right had sweep that greats the triple is unbelievable. There is nothing like it - well that is if your not on those bikes.... My hat again is off to all of you riders - amazing skills and I so love watching you and I'm trying to capture some of that in pictures.
