Those 2 days are so much the same here in the Lantzer family. Nearly 30 years ago I was expecting our second child. This child was to come toward the middle of May. Not feeling any thing different we set off to K Mart for some birthday items and cake for my nearly 2 year old daughter. Big day coming up for her. Aunt was coming to celebrate the event with her 2 cousins. Cake was ordered with extra flowers. We then stopped by McDonalds for a hamburger to take home. The trip home in the old white truck was uneventful until Jerry hit a nasty pot hole. Yes they even had them in Oregon. But still no problems. Setting down for our fanstatic dinner all was well until I stood up and my water broke. Hmmmm, unfamiliar feeling for me. No pains just warmth. Called the Dr and was told to get to the Hospital. Baby was coming. Took my Jenny over to her Aunt Carols and cried when I had to leave her. Our son was born around 5:00 AM. Aaron William Lantzer, a son to go with my already perfect daughter. These two beautiful children were as close as any two children can be. One with the other always. Jenn always watching out for Aaron, keeping him in line. The many birthdays that followed was always celebrated for both of them. A two day event for many years.
Happy Birthday Jenny and Aaron, so many wonderful memories.

~ WE DID NOT MAKE IT TO PVR TODAY - KRISTIN AND I WILL BE CATCHING UP THIS WEEK ON SOME MORE MOTO'S FROM LL QUALIFIERS AND LAST PVR RACE ~
We have been hearing some distressing news of injuries of yesterday at PVR. Still awaiting the news on how David Grimes is doing. Luke Himler was telling Kristin today that it was one bad crash. "David we hope that you are doing better". If anyone out there knows how David is please give us an e-mail....
Also hear that Jonathan Wells has another collar bone break. Same collar bone as before. Jonathan....... :( just not right.
Please let us know if we can do anything for you guys. Get well soon.

WOW - What a cold day at the "Point". The wind was blowing and the clouds were thick. A few peeks of sun but not many. At least it didn't rain. All in all the weather didn't stop the high quality of racing there. Jimmy Evans joining in the 450 A class mixing it up with Shawn Rife and Dylan Slusser to name afew out of a class of 13. I must say it was a hard day for me dealing with the cold. I had lots of layers on but the wind just cut right thru me. It has taken me all evening here at home to get warm again. But have a few pictures of the day. Looking forward to tomorrows racing. I just hope that it isn't so cold and windy.

GREAT TURN OUT !
Great turn out at PVR. Kristin has been busy all day with the Misc folders. They are up on pBase. Great racing between Davey Yezek and Jimmy Evans. Luke had a great time calling the first Vet A & B moto. Davey out in front then Jimmy. I want to thank Luke Himler here on the calling of most of the races. I know that it has to be hard at times but I want to tell you how thankful I am for what you and your Dad do all day long. With out your calling of the races, I would be lost. Yes I know what the riders are doing as they go by. But after they are out of sight I soak in every word that you say. Who is passing who, some one went down or whatever it could be, I am listening. As I move from one spot to another I am listening. Thank you for your eyes and your insight of the rider and what they are doing.
Okay, back to the racing. I have to say that the first moto really gave my heart a quick jolt. One would think that the first races are generally a time to ease back into the fast pace of the States races. Well not so. Davey and Jimmy sure made that clear that they were there to race. And boy did they ever. They were taking the turns & jumps right be side each other and making a statement for future races. THEY WILL BE AWESOME, stay tuned! The A Class was another "Lets get it on". Ben Ritter taking the front and not giving them up. Hot on his heels were Brian Shuckhart, Ty Newcome and Stevie Roman. Ty is fresh out of the B Class and totally made his intent for this season. The A Class is stacked with out standing riders. From the veterans of the A Class to the newbies from the B Class. The 85's have so many young talented riders. Crosby, Papi, Kesten, Sauers, Smallwood and Arlet just to name afew. I could go on with every class but this blog page isn't long enough. I am just saying what a wonderful group of riders from every age group.
Kris will be working very hard during the day on the galleries. I will be post them in the evening. We will do our best to get them up for you. Have a great week.

ALMOST HEAVEN
What a beautiful day at High Point. No rain and the temperature was in the high order of warm. It was a little windy however. Nearly blew me down in the infield. Good to see so many wonderful people. The ladies at sign ups with big smiles, Lisa at her flag station ready to help when needed. Lamont working on the right flag at the right time. The men on their tractors to make the track ready for the riders. Riders at staging and racing began. Good match ups between Gretchen and Deneen, Slusser and Weaver, great all around.
