~ SATURDAY SC PRACTICE DRY TO SUNDAY'S RAIN AND MUD ~
Wow, days completely different. Saturday very warm and the track was pretty dry. Watering was done on occassion but just enough to keep it down. Track crew was preparing for the rain that started on the first practice early Sunday morning. Everyone was pretty sure what was going to happen. The news of much rain was well know around the pits. So right thru practice and then the decesion of the one longer moto was pronounced. The rain took off and the Quads started the day. The riders of all classes took on the challenge of getting around the long Steel City track. So many going down everywhere. The little bikes really had trouble. But the riders left the gates clean and came back looking like they had been to battle with the mud and lost. Only the top riders had some color left on their gear. As for taking pictures, I took as many as I could. I'm not real happy with most of them, but will be able to get some up of all of your great efforts today. Everyone of you get an AAA+++ for your efforts today.
STEEL CITY GALLERIES - Keep in mind this was not the best of days for picture taking. Kristin has tried to identified the riders but with the mud they may be incorrect. So just let us know and we will fix them. As always you guys are Marvelous.

This little slide show is about some of the best "SAVES" of the day that I was able to catch. WOW you guys are amazing. Speed plus Mud equals lots of saves, and then again not as many saves as going down. The first one is from the Collegeboy class. Matt Palyas #92 is getting it done up in front. Hitting the turn and then not sure but he was coming right at me. Matt came off the bike and was walking it getting it back under control. He did not go down but got right back on and off he went. (thank you Matt for not covering me in mud) Totally the best save of the day, well at that time, Matt wasn't thru yet. In the 250B moto Matt was again having a good run in the mud. Coming around the mechanics area he got into some muck and was slipping again but got control. Again another great save. Great work Matt. In the Vet B +30 #4 Cartia was incredible. He didn't even slow down just shoved hisself right thru each lap. Great efforts #4. All of you riders that took on the mud at Steel City, hats off to you!
